Our Vision

Iron Man's vision is to train up men to become real disciples of Jesus Christ and leaders in "their world".

God has ordained men to be His representatives here on earth. The Bible says, "as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend". Proverbs 27:17. We believe when men get together something explosive happens. God releases His anointing to empower us to encourage and edify one another.

Iron Man Goals

1. To teach men how to be a godly, overcoming the spirit of this age, and becoming true men of character. In a world that is desperate for genuine leadership we want to help men grow to full maturity in Christ.
2. To empower men to be godly examples in their homes so that their families can reflect the Kingdom of God. Every man is encouraged to join the small group study "Maximized Manhood" a twelve week course emphasizing how to get your home in order. Men only encounter retreats are held every two to three months, taught by a team of Abundant Life pastors and teachers. The goal of this weekend retreat is to see men set free from bondages and addictions so they can begin living a life of victory.
3. To prepare men for church leadership through the School of Leaders. The School of Leaders is the place where the men of Abundant Life learn the principles of ministering to others  and the "nuts and bolts" of how to open their own small group. Your home can become a light-house to the world.
4. We want to win some of the untold millions of men here in Chicago that are currently lost and on their way to a Christ-less eternity, saving both them and their families from sure destruction.

The men of Abundant Life must rise up and become Iron Men because of what is at stake:our lives, our homes, the church, and the very city we live in.
